Ports and harbors on the island of Hvar
The main city port is suitable for anchoring catamarans, motor yachts, and sailboats. The port is exposed to southerly and westerly winds, which can cause rough seas and swells. he only relatively calm conditions in the port are during the bura wind. Even when there is no strong wind, the constant movement of taxi boats can create waves and disturbances in the port area. There’s a lot of traffic during the summer in Hvar port, so it is essential for boaters and sailors to be aware of these conditions and take necessary precautions while navigating in the port to ensure safety and avoid any potential issues caused by the waves from taxi boats. In the small harbor of Križna luka, there is a gas station available for boats and watercraft.
