Carpe Diem is the ultimate beach club/nightclub on Hvar – the first, most famous, and highly visited venue, recognized by prestigious travel portals such as Conde Nast Traveler and many others. First, let’s clarify that there are two separate locations to be distinguished. The original Carpe Diem on the Hvar waterfront was opened back in 1999 when there was nothing quite like it on the island. Years later, the stunning Carpe Diem Beach was added as a unique hybrid beach bar, restaurant, and nightclub, located in the bay of Stipanska on the nearby island of Marinkovac.
This club is interesting because it truly offers it all – a touch of exclusivity, as you need a boat to reach it, swimming and sunbathing in beautifully arranged cabanas, an excellent gastronomic selection, and a high level of service. However, the real entertainment begins after midnight when the beach bar transforms into a nightclub. Carpe Diem’s DJ lineup is indeed exceptional, and it never fails to impress. Beach Club Hvar, formerly known as Bonj Les Bains, is indeed one of the most beautiful places you can visit on the island, and it would be a shame to miss out on it. Just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Hvar town, this daytime beach club is a masterpiece of historical architecture, carefully preserved and elegantly renovated with a touch of elegance and glamour. It stands out with its unique colonnades made of pure white stone, a two-story restaurant, a garden, and a beautiful lounge area that offers unobstructed views of the Pakleni Islands.
The place looks supernaturally beautiful, like a backdrop for an Italian film starring Sophia Loren. In fact, I’m almost certain that Sophia was here during her visit to Hvar in the 1960s. Beach Club Hvar is an elegant and classy venue where there’s no overcrowding or loud entertainment. It’s a true daytime beach bar experience that is definitely worth indulging in. It’s time for me to introduce you to the phenomenon called the Hvar sunset. I’m not exaggerating, and I’m confident that you will feel it too, and the place where you’ll be overwhelmed from head to toe is none other than Hula Hula. This daytime beach bar is located just a short walk from the center of Hvar town and is renowned for its Sunset partys,where the crowd energetically dances to an eclectic DJ set until late in the evening.
If you want to enjoy the sun loungers, it’s necessary to arrive early so you can secure a spot for a late brunch or lunch. For dancing, drinks, and a table, it’s best to make reservations well in advance. Reservations are only accepted at the bar, and cash payment is preferred. The entertainment is guaranteed, as well as the opportunity to make new friendships. Just be mindful of sunburns by using sunscreen with a high SPF, which we highly recommend. Just a few minutes’ walk from the vibrant atmosphere of Hula Hula Bar, you’ll find the newest addition to the famous quartet – the charming Falko Beach Bar Although it resembles more of a restaurant than a beach bar, Falko provides true island chill vibes and excellent food in a simply and tastefully decorated space In front of the restaurant, there are sun loungers and umbrellas that you can use while enjoying a swim, with the pine forest providing shade from the strong sun.
