In front of the town of Hvar, there is a group of beautiful islets, and the largest of them, Sv. Klement, hides perfect locations for exploration. Here you can find the arboretum and gallery of the Meneghello family, pioneering in tourism since 1906. Palmižana is also home to one of the most luxurious restaurants and hotels on Hvar, the stunning Zori Timeless. There are several other restaurants nearby, and in the Soline Bay, next to the Vlaka settlement, you can find the remains of a Roman villa. While you’re there, don’t miss a visit to the Colnago winery – the only winery on the Pakleni Islands.
By renting a small boat, you can set off to explore the Pakleni Islands and avoid the tourist crowds. You can operate small boats with a power of up to 5HP on your own, and no boating license is required. Only a brief introduction to the controls and mooring is necessary. We were driving them as young as ten years old, as they are truly straightforward After exploring St. Klement – for example, the beach Perna – head back through Mlini and Ždrilca on Marinkovac.
Be careful not to venture too far downstream, as the sea can become quite wavy and difficult to navigate back in the late afternoon. The rental agencies will provide you with the best routes and guidance. Now, all that’s left is for you to enjoy your time. I can’t wait to see your photos!
